Revelation 17:6-8

⁶ And I saw the woman drunk with ^(A)the blood of the ^[a]saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered ^[b]greatly. ⁷ And the angel said to me, “Why ^[c]do you wonder? I will tell you the ^(B)mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the ^(C)seven heads and the ten horns.

⁸ “^(D)The beast that you saw ^(E)was, and is not, and is about to ^(F)come up out of the ^(G)abyss and ^[d](H)go to destruction. And ^(I)those who live on the earth, ^(J)whose names have not been written in the book of life ^(K)from the foundation of the world, will ^(L)wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and will ^[e]come.
